Many youth who start out using the computer nowadays inevitably grap an e-mail address from hotmail, or less commonly, from gmail and yahoo mail. I don't know why hotmail is the preferred platform. I still don't know. I can only speculate that that's where the action is, what with the immense popularity of MSN Chat.
But your choice of an e-mail address name, or for that matter your second, has become a subject of study by some professors in Germany's University of Leipzig's Psychology Department. This study suggests that your choice of e-mail name reveals something about your personality. Well, nothing wrong with that. Youth are always eager to put their own unique stamp in the community they are in, and that often is in the form of a unique and unforgettable e-mail address name, such as 'devilmaycare', 'morningrose' or some similar name.
Human Resource people warn, however, that if you have such unconventional monikers, you'd want to be careful that you do not put it down as your contact e-mail address when you apply for a job. It says that employers generally want 'consistency in the people they hire'. So an e-mail with an unusual name may prejudice your search for that perfect job.
