Rudder of Life was started to blog about living, working and studying in today's society. It is particularly targeted at youth as these are the people I am often interacting with.
In my line of work, I constantly come across people who either do not have a sense of direction in their lives, or who face problems of one sort or another not related to their mental and academic ability. I often feel sad when I meet these people, who can be helped, but may not know who to turn to.
I also come across people who do not, cannot or will not think of tomorrow. This is almost suicidal in the cat-chase-mouse kind of society that we often live in today. To survive, you must either ensure that you are the cat, or if circumstances would have it, a quick or clever mouse (or both). But what if you are neither?
This blogs also contains my own experiences growing up, and like today's youth, learn from the hits and misses in life. I have not always been successful, or right in my choices the first time around, but I have learnt to accept and live through those choices, and, thank God, have seen wrong decisions turn out right in the end.
This blog does not aim to be prescriptive, nor does it claim to know everything nor right in all things, but I hope this blog will be a help to some people sometime somewhere.
